Recapping the Rules of Participation and Appendix PP Revisions

Our Educational Symposium is designed for Administrators, Director of Nursing, and nursing staff that provide care to elderly and developmentally disabled persons. Our desire is to provide networking among leaders in the Post-Acute Care, Long Term Care, and Assisted Living industry while providing education on hot button issues. We hope that participants leave with the knowledge and tools to prepare them for the future.
This session will provide education on tools to improve the quality of care. The following topics will be presented: updates of the Rules of Participation (RoP).
- Identify key focus areas and implementation dates of phase 1-3 of the Rules of Participation (RoP).
- List 5 areas of increased focus with the 6/29/22 updates to already implemented RoP.
- List the 3 major focuses of phase 3 of the RoP.

Rosie has extensive experience in roles such as Certified Nurses Aid, Medical Records, MDS Coordinator, Director of Nursing, Case Mix Auditor, MDS Consultant and Managed Care Specialist. Rosie is a Registered Nurse with 20 years experience in LTC. She is certified as a Resident Assessment Coordinator and Director of Nursing Services through AANAC/AADNS. She is also a Certified InterACT Champion and Certified Case Manager. She is seasoned in teaching accurate assessment in accordance with the CMS RAI Manual, managing Medicare/ Medicaid reimbursement for up to 20 Skilled Nursing Facilities in Indiana/Florida, and coordinating Managed Care relations/ contracts.
